When validating the JR5 demo or my site using the ProJam Light skin, WC3 Validator finds 13 coding errors and 1 warning, is this accurate or doesn't it even matter?

Depends on the errors or warnings - Jamroom does not "validate" user supplied content, so that can always cause validation issues.

I just updated the Marketplace with a few fixes that should help with the validation.

Just wondering if you fixed the errors manually, my main page has been customized and I don't want to update to the one of the updated skin and want to fix it myself.

Check out the change log, that will tell you which templates were updated.

You should be able to use the W3C page to find the code that has issues. Or use a comparison program to find whats been changed.
