I tried to create a site map however the page was not found.

The page you requested was not found!

This error also shows on all skins

What were you trying to access that was not found?
All the site map files are down in the /data/media/0 folder (iirc) and the router should sort out access to them.

When I click on:

==> ACP

==> System Tools

==> Create SiteMap

I get a error 404 page on all skins.

No issues for me either. Are you sure the module is installed and active? Is your server setup properly with mod_rewrite, and is JR5's .htaccess file in place?

Yes we have mod_rewrite enabled and the .htaccess file is in place unmodified. I have a stock installation but maybe my files were corrupted somehow?

yeah if you're getting not found something is either broken on your server config or in the install.
