Under profile tweaks , I have the selected quota that I chosen , and the Default Profile Index set to audio , when I visit the URL to the profile , the URL dose not go to the Default Profile Index set to audio...

Also there is no option under the Default Profile Index drop down menu for custom URL as older JR versions ..

Can you say where this option is in JR 6 ?

Thanks

Make sure the profile that you visit is allowed to use the Profile Tweaks module. Also make sure that that profile has not chosen to use a different page, because what you are setting is just the default and they have the option to change it to whatever they like.

I don't recall that there ever was a URL field in the profileTweaks module. Are you refering to Jamroom4 perhaps?

JR always had this feature going back to JR 2
It may have been under quota where Login Redirect Page is, URL Redirect

You'll need to be clearer what you're looking to redirect - Profile Tweaks has never had a URL redirect option.

JR had an URL re direct option before in other JR versions , It may have been under quota ..
The URL redirect rule browser under tools don't work i.e. match view dubmusic.com/dub to URL dubmusic.com/rap don't work

If you are refering to versions before JR5 they are no longer supported and I can remember very little about them!!

To what module are you now refering to? If jrUrlMapper, that is working ok for me.

Try using the jrUrlMapper module instead.

There's no issues with the URL redirect module that I am aware of - we use it here extensively on Jamroom.net - i.e.

The URL Mapper module only redirects if the original URL does not exist. It was designed so that broken links from other sites and search engines could be redirected.

Quote: Please to add URL re direct in profile tweets
So you want to give your users the option to navigate away from your site? If that is the case, add a url text field to theor profile settings page then code in the profile header to see if that field is set, and if so, redirect.

It seems like the easiest thing is to add a URL box in profiles tweaks , so the user could enter whatever URL they want , If that feature was in JR 6 , I could add the URL uploaded_audio/albums/ so the album page is the landing page instead of "Default Profile Index Audio "

Earlier JR versions had this feature..

You could probably cook something up using the Form Designer, and a template redirect:

Docs: "Using the Form Designer"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/getting-started/1275/using-the-form-designer

{jrCore_location()}

In earlier versions the goal was to build a system with options for all sorts of things. The goal for this one is to let users customize it themselves because not everybody wants everything that everybody else has.

Docs: "Using the Template Editor"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/jamroom-admin-handbook/3183/using-the-template-editor

I like the new JR6 , but there allot of key features that were taken away that was in JR3 , i.e. pay pal module that was later put back in JR6 so you don't need foxy cart wish was bad for JR, the ability to create a radio station with one click , URL box for re direct ..

Please to put a URL box in profiles tweaks , that is much easier than what you suggested using form designer , form designer is not available under profile tweaks ...

Please to keep in mind from a programmer or some one who is savvy in the field , the JR features and the entire JR6 is much better , but for the average artist , they don't want to be reading manuals , they like dummy proof point and click..

Thanks for the suggestion

Thanks for the comments about Jamroom. However, as Michael says, we are not going to complicate a module with a feature that only one person wants, particularly when there is a straightforward, alternative way of doing it.

1) Use the Form Designer to add a text field to the Profile Settings form and set its verification to 'a valid url'. Name the field 'profile_custom_redirect', say.
2) In the skin's profile_header template, add this code -
{if $profile_custom_redirect != ""}
    {jrCore_location("`$profile_custom_redirect`")}
{/if}
