My quota limit for members is set to limit Youtube videos to no more than three per day... but seven hours ago (it's 3 pm here now) I had a regular member post 8 YT videos right in a row... ?? Even if they posted 3 before midnight and 3 after midnight.. it should have limited it to no more than 6.

We had a similar thing with our image upload limit. I don't know if this is relevant to you, but our problem was that limits were not being checked when the user uploaded via the Timeline shortcut. We were given a fix for it.

Thanks Lorna! I'm not sure whether that applies to my sites, since I did things to prevent members from posting content into timelines... as per this way-too-long thread for what i did...but don't bother reading anything but the LAST twelve or so posts for the relevant part:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/my_posts/53842/how-to-limit-size-number-of-profile-timeline-images#last

In other words, I don't see how the member could have posted their YT vids by way of a Timeline pathway or shortcut... i think I closed those up so they couldn't. I think the limit(s) were working prior to the last JR update.

Do you have the URL to the profile that posted the videos? The profile limits module is not related to any of the recent updates. Thanks!

Yes here is the member:

in his list of videos, you'll see 8 that were all posted on the same day, a couple of days ago now.

Just an update that I'm in the process of checking this out - the "Daily Limits" module really needs to be reworked, since we have a bunch of specific checks for specific modules inside, and really isn't working like it should be, so I am in the process of rebuilding how the checks work. Just an FYI of what I'm up to and why it might take a little bit longer to get this checked out.

Thanks!

It's been released - we had a huge number of releases go out this morning. This took quite a long time to rebuild, so hopefully it works perfectly. Make sure and update all modules, as the audio/video/image galleries modules all had updates that are needed by the profile limits module. Then, go into your profile limits module and make sure everything is set as you need.

Let me know if that helps or you see any issues. The updates were quite complicated - while I hope it all works 100%, there certainly could be some corner cases that I overlooked (although Michael tested this pretty extensively and I think it is good).

Thanks!

Oh wow. And I just finished applying the LAST bunch of updates earlier this morning! =8-o
This will take me a couple days to comb through carefully. Thanks so much for all your work!!

One question-

Ninja Skin changelog
Version 2.0.7
- Change: Moved new payment module view cart icon to main menu.

....can you tell me in approx which template I would find that change in Ninja ...so I can apply it to my ninja-based Custom skin, please?

I'll have Douglas follow up here - I'm not sure what files changed by suspect it is the menu templates - i.e.

header_menu_desktop.tpl
header_menu_mobile.tpl

Anytime there is a change to the site menu that is where it would be.

Looks like there was only a change to the header_menu_desktop.tpl ...two lines, starting with the bit about jrCore lang skin:
                    {jrCore_lang skin=$_conf.jrCore_active_skin id="2" default="cart" assign="ct"}
                    {jrCore_image image="cart44.png" width=24 height=24 alt=$ct}

...should that update on the language skin go into the mobile version of the header_menu template as well, or would it not be needed on the mobile version?

I don't believe you should have to do anything to your templates.

The new payment cart icon gets added via the Payment module for the Ninja skin.

Hope this helps!

Yes but... I'm thinking I may want this feature update for my active/Custom skin, which was built off of Ninja. I'm using a custom skin.
Should I then apply the code to my custom skin from the new ninja template update... and does the mobile version need something too? Thanks!

To clarify... I may wind up using the Payment module for a new site soon, and I'd build it from a clone of an existing site I have (which uses my custom skin).

The Payments module will "inject" the cart link into your menu without you needing to modify anything.
