I just wanted to ask....as I like to actually try out jamroom hosted for a month or two so as to try all the features to see if it's what I'm looking for.

If you just want to try Jamroom out, when creating the server just 'make a domain up', for instance juanchaserver.com. You'll then get Jmroom install to test that you can access at juanchaservercom.jamroomhosting.com
If/when you then want to continue with Jamroom under an actual domain, things can be changed within your Hosting Control Panel.
