ok so for the past while some of my staff have complained that they could not post blogs and events, today i logged in as standard user and they are correct the functions to do many things are diff on everyones pages or profiles so i thought i would check how the quotas are set up and i went in and turned on almost everything for all quotas and still no change, one member said he changed his name and then he could see the blog button? no idea but here are a few screen shots of diff quotas that should have much more than what they see?

Unfortunately I can't really tell anything from your screenshots, but remember that when you make changes to quotas that you will need to reset caches for those changes to take immediate effect.

Let me know if that is what you are seeing.

i did i was also running in developer mode but the problem was already there before i started making changes only reason i was making changes was to try to help them be able to use those functions

Got it - so you've gone into the modules and made sure they are enabled in the quotas you want them available in? Is that not working?

Yeah that doesn't make sense - have not seen that before. Open a ticket and I can check it out.

Thanks!

Let me ask for a regular user login as well so I can check it out from the user perspective.

Thanks!

This is working correctly (from the ticket):

- If you are logged in as an admin user and viewing any profile OR are a regular user and viewing your own profile, you see all options. This allows you to CREATE a new item (otherwise you would have no way to get started)

- If you are a REGULAR user and are viewing a profile that is not one you control, then you only see the options for the profile that actually contains at least 1 item. So a profile that does not have any Blogs will not show the "Blog" button to other users - it shows to Admin users (and profile owners).

So I think we're good.

Let me know if that helps.
