I got this error message in my google analytics "You have 1 unresolved issue: Redundant Hostnames"
and it tells me to set up a 301 redirect but when i look up instructions on how to do this like on this post here https://blog.properhost.com/2014/12/15/80/how-to-solve-the-redundant-hostname-warning-in-google-analytics it says i need access to the .htaccess file at the root of your site: ? any idea how i get to this if possible ?

This is not something to do with JR - does it tell you WHAT domain it thinks is redundant?

Just guessing here but maybe you have manually coded links that go to both domains somewhere on the site, ie you access your site at www. but site url is http://sitename. Like I said just a complete guess.

the .htaccess file is a "hidden" file, so you have to make sure your SFTP client is set to show hidden files.

Modifying the .htaccess file makes it really easy to break your site as well, so I can change it for you.

Do you want your site to always use the "www" or always NOT use the "www"?
