solved Creative Cloud image editor reduces image size

Don't know if this is anything you can help me with:
A user has reported that if you update a gallery image and use the Creative Cloud image editor to make adjustments to that image, e.g. add text to it, the updated image is saved at a reduced, web image size, instead of retaining the full uploaded file size. This happens even though the image has not been re-sized by the user in the editor.
Is this something integral to the Creative Cloud editor? If so, are there any other editor options that would be better for our image-based site?
Thanks.

Hi Lorna
I haven't tried this yet but there is an option in the module config for 'High Resolution Editing' -
Quote: If this option is checked, when a user edits an image in the Image Editor, the full resolution original image will be used, otherwise a max resolution of 1280 pixels will be used.
Do you have that checked?
Thanks
Pa

Yes you will need to enable High Resolution Editing - note that Adobe requires that you contact them to get hires editing enabled in your account - I suspect this gives them an opportunity to try to sell you something :)

Thanks very much, @paul and @brian, I had not noticed that switch. I've asked Roy to arrange the necessary Adobe upgrade and then I'll enable hi-res editing. I'm confident he'll be able to resist further Adobe purchases!
