solved New gallery or album slow to appear in drop-down list

On our site, when a new gallery is created with an image upload, or when a photo album is created, it takes several minutes for this new item to appear in a drop-down list of available galleries/albums.
People often want to add a number of images to a gallery or album one after another, so it is quite frustrating not to be able to choose the one you just created.
How can I speed this up?

This is likely due to caching of lists. Can you detail exactly what you are doing, and the lists where its taking time to show so that we can confirm this, and maybe see if there's a solution?

OK. Example with Photo Albums, screenshots attached...
On any image (image view or thumbnail), click the camera icon to add it to a photo album.
On the pop-up box, type in a new album name and Create.
Go to another image and click the camera icon. The pop-up list of existing albums doesn't include the one just created. [After 15 minutes, it's still not showing in the list.]
If you start to enter the same album name, it will appear as a suggestion. If you Create that same name , another album with the same name but different ID number is created.

With Galleries...
Update an image and give it a new gallery name. Save changes.
Update another image and the new gallery name is not in the drop-down list of existing galleries. Typing in the same gallery name will put that image in the gallery that was just created. in this case, it doesn't create a new gallery with the same name.
I'm doing this in Admin user, but I will try in an ordinary user in case it's a current user thing.

Gallery issue should be fixed now as well in the latest Image Galleries module.
