What's the default setting for notifications being sent to members?

I was looking at the settings for notifications for one of our members and I noticed that it had "Send email" automatically checked for New Account Notify. Does that mean that member is automatically notified when anyone joins our network? see the attached example.

Our members don't want to be notified every time someone joins, so if this is the situation, how can change this without going in and changing every person one by one.

Try logging in as a regular member quota (not admin) and look at your notification settings. Those will be the same as what your other members see. Keep in mind that when you are loggedin as admin you see stuff that regular members don't see. Do the quick test to be sure of what regular members will be seeing. :)
