solved Posting discussion on Iphone

It has just been brought to my attention that while there is a text editor for comments to discussions, there seems to be no text editor if you try and post a new discussion. Is there a way to fix that?

That is by design. An iPhone may display an editor field, but it's not designed for touch so is not likely to work well. Nor is it going to be easy to use the menu options as they are small. With the textarea at least a user can enter the text. In fact, the comment field should also be a textarea on a phone, so that is a bug!!

OK thanks for the 411. Was just wondering. Btw, don't fix that bug, LOL!
Now that they are used to it, they will feel cheated.

The fix is a mod. to a default template, so if you don't want it implemented it can be taken out for your site. In fact, the comment_form.tpl template is already being replaced on your site so on upgrade, you will not see the change.
