Potential Video approval bug and pending items problem

We currently have videos posted by normal users requiring approval and Admin users not requiring approval.

Videos posted by an Admin we're not appearing to normal users so we had a look in the datastore for videos and noticed that they where missing a 'video_pending' field when compared to videos that had required approval. Manually adding that field to the admin videos and setting it to 0 fixed the problem.


When viewing the Dashboard in the ACP it is currently showing there are 6 pending items but when you view the pending page there is nothing to approve.

Having a look at the jr_jrcore_pending database table there are 6 items in there all relating to creation or updating of videos.?

We can wait. I've set the admins to require approval for the time being.


Any ideas on the Pending view problem?

I'm not seeing an issue with the dashboard pending view. Pending video items are showing for me.
Stupid question - by default, the pending view is that of Users - Have you clicked the Video tab (sorry - have to ask)?

Was asked exactly the same thing by one of the programmers in the office who was looking over my shoulder !

Nothing in the video tab.

So there is a video tab there, but with nothing in it?
I'm pretty sure that tabs only show if they have content, so if that is the case, something is wrong, but as I said, I'm not seeing an issue. Do you have any further info to help me replicate it?

Sorry Paul,

The Video Tab is not there. It was when I originally looked cos they was a video waiting to be approved !

No other info for you other than the items in the DB table refer to videos that have been approved.

Sorry - a bit confused now. Is there an issue or not?
