I used Jamroom 3 and 4 in the past. I am trying to figure out how a band adds their music, videos, soundcloud links to their profile. I created a test profile and when I log in... all I see is a blog??

The very short answer is:
* the quota those profiles are in need to have the audio, video, soundcloud modules enabled.
