guess: you uploaded an image, but didnt click the "create gallery" button earlier. Left the page. Then clicked the + button to create another gallery and the previously uploaded images got attached to this times save.

Does it happen every time or just a one off thing?

Just a additional question....how would i make it so images could be uploaded without having to have a gallery name?
I would like the upload field to say
Image Title
Image Description
Image Tags
Upload Image Button
Create

You can turn the Gallery part off by unchecking the Group by Gallery check box in your ACP > Image Galleries > Quota Config tab.

Make sure you are changing the setting for the right quota, or if you want all quotas to not have a gallery, check the apply to all quotas checkbox.

On the image editor, make sure you have the High Resolution Editing check box unchecked in your ACP > Image Galleries > Global Config section.

You may also want to reset your cache if you haven't already... ACP > System Tools > Reset Cache

It'd be great if when we have 'group by gallery' checked, it gave the quota a CHOICE to create a gallery for a new photo(s) or not...but didn't FORCE them to create or use a 'gallery' every time they just want to add a photo to their profile photo section. or...am I not 'getting' something or some setting maybe?

one way I could think that might be able to be done would be to have a 'default' gallery that is the choice for "I dont want to thing about a gallery right now", then display that gallery as the main gallery.

Not sure what the desired outcome is though for that setup, where you have and also dont-have galleries.

Got this in email from a member
"Hello Curtis,

I'm trying to upload some photos to the DA site but can't seem to get them uploaded after I select the images. The options on the page are Create gallery and cancel. When I select Create Gallery it takes me to a page that can't be found. Any idea of what I'm missing here. I've uploaded a host of photos before without any complications.

Thanks Curtis.

Sincerely,"

I hate these "Galleries" and wish I could SHUT THEM OFF but the check box to shut them off in my ACP does not work....what do I NEED TO DO to fix it?

What page does he end up on. Did he do it from his profile.
guess You have the link to /gallery/create on the top section of the site and he has more than one profile and since he wasn't on his profile before going there the system didnt know where to return to.

Its a stretch guess. need to get more info like what was the URL of the page he returned to. better to keep different questions in different threads. "how do i turn off galleries" in a different thread please.

Keep this one for "cant upload images to gallery"
