I installed the new SB, so now receive this warning in the white pop up box if I click the yellow SB button:

"This URL is currently mapped to the User Profiles module "index.tpl" template. If you create this new Site Builder page, it will show instead of the template. If you delete the Site Builder page, the template will show again. Create this Site Builder page?"

This scares me.

Will I lose any information? Or is it just part of the behind the scenes formatting of file names changing? I've worked so hard. if it all goes poof I don't have the heart to go on (3rd time, first two were using BuddyPress with templates that had bugs sadly)

You will not lose anything - that message means exactly what it says:

"This URL is currently mapped to the User Profiles module "index.tpl" template."

This means that the URL you are Viewing is currently being generated by the User Profiles index template (index.tpl)

"If you create this new Site Builder page, it will show instead of the template."

This means if you say "OK" and create the site builder page, then your site builder page will show instead.

"If you delete the Site Builder page, the template will show again."

If you later decide to DELETE the site builder page, the Profile index will show again.

Let me know if that helps.

It does. I am assuming that means (or I could be wrong) whatever is on that page will still be on that page? The modules will still be there? Sorry for clarification. Rather safe than sorry. Less tears for you to hear about later. :)

currently it reads like this:
Quote: This URL is currently mapped to the Slate - Site Builder skin "index.tpl" template.

If you create this new Site Builder page, it will show instead of the template.

If you delete the Site Builder page, the template will show again.

Create this Site Builder page?

Would this wording be less scary?
Quote: This URL is currently mapped to the Slate - Site Builder skin "index.tpl" template.

Click OK to use a fresh Site Builder page instead.

If you want to restore the page to how it is now, just delete the Site Builder page you created and the current page will return.

Click OK to continue, or cancel to keep it how it is now.

Or could you think of an even better version? :)

Like Michael has pointed out, feedback on how we might be able to reword this so it's not "scary" would he helpful. I actually spent quite a bit of time on the current message - my goal being to make it as succinct and clear as possible, but based on your feedback it didn't clarify the issue properly.

If you can let us know what words, phrases (or whatnot) in the message made you worry or fear that you would lose something, it would be great if you could let us know.

Thanks!

"Welcome to the new Site Builder ($Profile_ID} you handsome son of a BUCK {if /feamle/say beauty queen/if}...you are about to make an awesome new page using the new system! If at anytime you dont like it- you can delete it and the old page will return! Go ahead, don't be a {if female/male expletive /if} all your life- give it a try!"

If for some insane reason you do not try the new site builder, your dog ought to bite you and your neighbors should move!

I would like a pop up warning like that- you know....encouraging stuff like that- that dares me to do it..."Go ahead make my day...stuff

This was a great laugh... Reminds me of the funny Amazon reviews! @michael s first version seems great. (Though @derrickhand300 's is tempting,)

"The current page will return" is affirming. (and all your hours of work will not be lost)... When I read that the "template will show qgain" it didn't assure me that the changes I made would be there again, just the template to work with.

You guys are awesome to ask for so much feedback. It is such a new experience to have tech support that actually CARES.... Love it. <3 thank you
