Looks like it is the "item" class: .item

Would that not be this: #timeline { background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% #CCC; } as the background for the .item is set to transparent to show the grey for the timeline, if you just change .item that will change the colour for all with the class .item

If your using the newest version of the Nova CSS files, the timeline CSS is in the skins/jrNova/css/core_action.css file.

Are you modifying the file through the ACP or modifying the CSS file and then uploading it to your server via FTP?

If you are using FTP, make sure you haven't modified it via the ACP as that overrides the CSS file.

Try adding a background color to the .item class in your core_list.css file.

Are you talking about the thin dark gray borders that have rounded corners, or the light gray that is real thick?

I think it's the light gray.

Iz, have you tried using the browser tools? Right click on the border and choose "inspect element". That will give you access to the class name that you need to change.

You don't need to understand that formula in order to change the css on your website. Firebug is the tool you need to get to grips with.

Unfortunately, you are not going to be able to change those colors via the ACP.

For the player, you'll want to modify your modules/jrAudio/css/jrAudio_player_dark.css and change the border color from this:

/*
 * jrAudio Dark Player CSS
 */

.jr_audio_dark_player div.jp-audio,
.jr_audio_dark_player div.jp-video {
    font-size:1.25em; /* 1.25em for testing in site pages */ /* No parent CSS that can effect the size in the demos ZIP */
    font-family:Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;
    line-height:1.6;
    color: #ccc;
    background-color:#111;
    position:relative;
    border:2px solid #666;
    margin:2px 1px 1px 1px;
    padding:1px;
    box-shadow: 0 2px 3px rgba(0, 0, 0, .5);
}

And for the profile photo, you'll want to modify your skins/YOURSKIN/css/core_image.css and change the border color for the iloutline class.

/* @title Image Outline Link */
/* @help This is the small outline around small images that are linked */
.iloutline {
  border:1px solid #BBB;
  vertical-align:middle;
  margin:1px;
  padding:1px;
}

Hope this helps!
