Hi,

I have made a test account via Google on my own site http://find-et-band.dk/ with OneAll.

When I go to my user account via the link in the e-mail sent to my Gmail and then go to the profile page I get this message: This profile is not active and is only visible to admin users and the site owner.

How can I make it active? I can´t see where, so I don´t think the users have a chance either..?

How for users to activate these type of accounts made via OneAll?

Let me know :)

Thanks!

Also I can see in the email that I recieve as webmaster that username and email is empty for the OneAll sign ups that I have made via Google. Also the link to the users profile looks like this: http://find-et-band.dk/

Let me know what could be wrong here..?

Thanks for helping :)

I'm actually aware of that issue, as we see it here on Jamroom.net occasionally - I've got debug code in our system here to try and "catch" it to fix it - I will get a fix in as soon as I can figure out why it is happening.

Hope this helps!

Ok, I see! :)

So there is no way for users to activate their user profile made via OneAll with Google?

If it is so then I´ll remove the Google login.

Let me know..?!

Thanks :)

Oh no - the account should be just fine - if you look in your User Browser you will see that their account was created just fine - it's only the email notification that is not showing the proper profile name.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks!

Yep, it helps a bit :)

I´m just still a little in doubt when it comes to activating the accounts made via OneAll. As I said I see this message: This profile is not active and is only visible to admin users and the site owner.

I see it under users profile page.

How can users activate it?

I haven´t had a "real" sign up via OneAll yet, so it´s just me testing, but it would be nice to have it ready for the first user signing up via OneAll.

Let me know if it´s only me who gets this message: This profile is not active and is only visible to admin users and the site owner.

I don´t get any email where I can activate the account, so I don´t really know what to do?

Let me know...

Thanks! :)

Make sure you go into your ACP -> User Accounts -> Quota Config and set the "Signup Method" to either "Instant Validation" or "Email Validation" for your signup quota(s) - that way when a new account is created via OneAll it is automatically "activated".

Let me know if that helps.

The signup method was (and still is) set to "Email Validation", but I don´t get no email from the system when signing up via OneAll.

I like it to be "Email Validation" istead of "Instant Validation" to prevent spam-signups and so on. Isn´t that a good idea?

Let me know what the issue could be here..?

Thanks :)

Yeah I agree - Email Validation is fine. However, when a user signs up using OneAll, and you're signup is set to Email Validation, then they are "instantly" validated (since they have already validated their email with the provider they are using to signup with), so you should not see a profile be "pending" when they signup using OneAll, unless you have specifically set the signup method to admin validation.

I'm wondering if Google+ is not sending something we are expecting (we're not setup on Google+ here on Jamroom.net) - do you see the same issue if you signup using Twitter or Facebook?

Thanks!

Yep, I know. And that´s just fine :)

I have made a new account via OneAll using Twitter. And I get the same message on http://find-et-band.dk/profile/settings

I have made a screenshot so that you can see what I mean: http://torco.dk/screenshot_twitter_signup.jpg

Let me know if there is a way to get around this...

Thanks :)

Let me check it out and see if there's something we're overlooking in the code - we've not seen this issue here on Jamroom.net so I'm not sure what would be causing it.

Oh, take a look at this: http://torco.dk/screenshot_admin.jpg

I can activate the profile as admin from: http://find-et-band.dk/profile/settings/profile_id=17

But I shouldn´t have to activate every profile made... Right?

Let me know :)

Thanks!

Yes - that is correct - you should not have to do that if your quota is NOT set to admin validation.

It´s set to "Email Validation", so I don´t really understand..?

Maybe you know something. Tell me if you need more information :)

Thanks!

No - this is not an issue with your settings - I believe your settings are correct, so there is nothing you can do at this moment - I am looking at the code to see if I can spot what the issue might be.

Thanks!

I just pushed out an updated OneAll - I don't know if it is going to fix this issue, but it does have some other changes in it that I added in to address the email issue as well as a new system account linked feature.

I've tested this version using Twitter on our staging system and I don't see any issues - update and let me know if you still see a problem. If you do, I will need to get access to your system so I can test there as I am not able to reproduce the problem here.

Hope this helps!
