Hi,
About 6 or 7 years ago i used to Use jamroom for a music community, with a very busy site,
I was quite adept at editing my jamroom,it was Jamroom3 and i had all the licences for most of the modules etc
Now,..
I am in rock band,so want to Use Jamroom for just 1 artist,1 band,
Ive installed JR5 and dont recognise anything,
In JR3 there used to be (instantly after installation)
in the menu,. Songs,Images,Gig listings, news etc
I just want jamroom for my band to have a handfull of songs available to the listener,a few gig images, and some gig news - Now i havent the faintest idea now how to install or set up any of these,
I tried to Download JR3 as i know it,but ive no idea with JR5 -
Advice please on how to set this up so it looks like JR3 OR JR4
Thanks
Darren

Hi Darren - welcome back to Jamroom!

Jamroom 5 is really, really different than Jamroom 3 - while Jamroom 3 was one, large "monolithic" system, Jamroom 5 is 100% modular, and has been designed to work for many, many different sites rather than just musicians.

So a lot of it depends on what functionality you want - I'm guessing you want audio support, but what about video? youtube? image galleries? etc. - all of these are installed as separate "modules" in your Jamroom, directly from the Marketplace. It's actually super easy.

The good news is that JR5 still uses Smarty for templates, so if you're familiar with editing JR3 templates, you'll feel right at home in JR5.

There's dozens of different modules and skins available:

Hope this helps!

Thanks Guys,
When ive installed certain modules like audio support,do all the icons like play, download etc automatically appear in profiles ?
Its just 1 band,my band i need it for,no other profiles are needed etc,
We just need to able for 1 person to log in,create Gig news, like,a front page Post about an upcoming gig,
we also need to be able to have Pics from past gigs etc and yes maybe the odd video here and there,
So i guess its only like 3 modules i`ll need?
AUDIO SUPPORT
VIDEO SUPPORT
IMAGE SUPPORT?
The forums if i remember were new to JR4 ,. are they in a module? As they will come in handy for Fan Q&A etc
Thanks for all your help :)

Yeah - it's a really good deal for what you get, and has been designed to hi-light a single artist.

You can purchase and install it directly from the marketplace - just install the free JR5 core, and then go to the ACP -> Core -> Marketplace. Click on the "bundles" tab and you can get it right there.

Hope this helps!
