Allow Onsite Streaming on Paid Songs

Is there a way to allow onsite streaming for songs that have a price. Currently it creates a sample file giving you a max 120 seconds length.

It would be good if there was an option to allow onsite streaming even on paid songs so that can attract traffic that might eventually buy songs.

It would also be good if there was a way to allow this on a song by song or artist by artist basis.

If you allow streaming of the full length song, then the user can just download it and not pay for it. This is why Jamroom limits the stream length on paid songs.

Just by viewing source and copying the "stream" URL into the browser and saving it - it's not hard. It's important to understand that without using an expensive DRM solution (which Jamroom does not use nor could really support) if you can stream it, you can save it.

How about if player was replaced with a SWF Flash player, would that circumvent the issue?

No - if the song can be streamed, regardless of flash, silverlight, javascript, etc., then it can be saved.

A lot of our artists offer full song streaming of their tracks on bandcamp or their own personal websites. So I do not think that they would mind to do the same with us.

Is there a way to enable full streaming on 'paid songs'?
If there is, is there a way to choose this on a song by song basis since some artists might object?

No there is not at this time - the streaming is handled by the core and explicitly blocks full length streams for audio files that are being sold.
