None of the uploaded songs work in Firefox browser (does work IE and Chrome) when press play it gives a popup error message "An error was encountered loading the media url"

Then I uploaded an entire album and these files do not even work on Chrome and EI.
when press play it gives a popup error message "An error was encountered loading the media url"

Thanks

The second one is a corrupted MP3 file - try re-uploading it.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

This link: (snipped)

works for me in FF, didn't try it in chrome or ie.

This link: (snipped)

none of the songs work, try clearing your cache via the ACP > Core > Tools section, you might also try uploading the tracks again, something may have been corrupted during the upload.

Hope this helps,
Douglas

Tried uploading one of the songs again but same error message

Interesting - when downloading the file from the page it downloads as a WMA which means it was never converted into an MP3. Do you think this is the issue? and what can be causing it?

'Convert To MP3' is checked in the settings.

If the file isn't getting coverted, check your audio support modules Quota Config section and make sure you have the "convert to MP3" checkbox checked for the quota your uploading to.

If it is, check your error logs and see if the are any conversion errors.

Hope this helps,
Douglas

Both my admin account and the profile being uploaded to have 'convert to mp3' in quota.

In the logs it shows "[admin]: converted 4/12/audio_file from wma to MP3 in 1.22 seconds"

Thanks

Try this - double check the quota settings by going into the ACP -> Media -> Audio Support -> Quota Settings, and make sure the "Apply to all quotas" option is checked. Then, set the conversion options to what you want and save.

Then try re-uploading the WMA and see if it converts - if it does not, something weird is happening on your server and I'd need to check it out.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Send to brian [at] jamroom [dot] net - I need your JR URL and login, FTP login and also attach the file you are uploading (or let me have a link to download it).

Hope this helps!

I have found the root cause of this and have fixed it in Audio Support version 1.3.1 - update and let me know if that fixes it for you.

Hope this helps!
