Add hyerlink to Facebook player image

It would be great if users clicked on the facebook player image "jrAudio_facebook_player_skin.jpg" and it would take them to my site, Facebook has done some changes recently and now it doesn't show the song thumbnail on the left and the click able song title on the right where if a user clicks on it it takes them to the song page :P.

We can only provide 1 URL in an open graph tag, so taking the user to the audio page for the song they are clicking on makes the most sense.

And is it possible to link to the song by linking the player "rAudio_facebook_player_skin.jpg", Facebook has changed very recenty how it shows the song posted.

The URL link to the song is defined by the open graph tag in the page - not by the image or anything on facebook.

I will check out FB in the morning and see if any updates are needed.

This is how Facebook now shows a song I post:

http://www.soabem.com/images/player.gif

On Facebook pages users can click on the artist/song tile and go to the song page in my site, but thats not the case anymore from profiles / groups.

I just tested here and I don't see any issues.

What is a URL to one of your songs you are having an issue with?

There is no issue Brian, it's just that when I post a song now on a Facebook profile or group, users can't click anywhere to go to the song page on my site, unless I post the link myself, what I wanted was a way where when a user clicks either on the artist/song title on the player or the player image (where I have my site logo) for the user to go to the song page on my site :).

That's what it is doing for me, so I'm assuming something is up with your site or your FB page. What is the URL to the song?

I don't know but this could be a case where Facebook has changed certain things for people in North America and not anywhere else yet, usually they make changes in the US first then Canada and so on, this could explain why you don't see the changes yet in the UK.

It's working here for me - plays audio no problem, and the initial image links to the audio page.

When I click on the initial image, it opens the player on Facebook, I'm confused, and did you share the song on a page a profile or a group?

If you click on the image, it will load the player and play the song (since the "play button" is actually an FB overlay over the entire image). If you click the song title (or basically outside the image) it goes to the page on your site.

It's important to understand that that initial "view" is out of JR's control - that's just how FB shows embedded media. Once you click on play, then the player is loaded from cache (which has been loaded from your site).
