chained select text entry option

I have a need for Chained Select to allow text input as an option.

For example, I might have 3 options in the select menu, one being "Other," and would want a text input box if "Other" is selected.

The Chained Select module also supports 'Select and Text' form fields, would that help?

You often want a dropdown with chained options that are defined across all profiles. Having an "other" kind of option with a text entry is for values which are uncommon or unique which you wouldn't want appearing in subsequent dropdowns.
