Many (most) of you have likely never heard of CVS - Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome, but today is CVS awareness day (March 5th) and I wanted to post a link to the CVS association:

to help raise awareness of CVS. CVS is characterized by recurrent, prolonged attacks of severe nausea - especially in children, although it affects adults as well. Many people who have CVS as a child end up with severe migraine headaches as an adult, so it can be very debilitating to many people. It's also something that takes a LONG time to diagnose, as many people believe they have a food allergy or other stomach ailment and will spend many years trying to figure that out.
My youngest daughter (6 years old) has CVS and we were lucky to get a diagnosis of CVS after only about a year and a half - many others can go up to 10 years before being diagnosed. She's doing pretty well at this time as we have her taking some supplements that really help her, but it is still hard as a parent to watch her go through an episode (usually about once a month).
I know a lot of people don't know about CVS, and if you know someone who seems to have stomach issues fairly frequently that are quite debilitating, check it out:

Also - if you purchase anything from Amazon.com and would be willing to use:

That will donate a small amount of each of your purchases (no cost to you) to CVS research - just sign in and in the 'Charity' section of your account select:

There's some really good research being done now related to cell energy depletion that is helping a lot of kids. I'm really hopeful that by the time Sara is an adult that we've found a cure for her - or at least we've helped her find the right combination of supplements that will let her have a normal life.
I know this is not "normal" Jamroom off topic stuff, but it's something important to me and I wanted to share it with everyone and hopefully if anyone knows anyone struggling with something like this it might just help them out.
Thanks!
