Out of ideas...

I'm posting in Off-Topic because it really doesn't seem to belong anywhere else. I don't personally use Jamroom, but I frequent a site that does. There's a problem when I try to stream one of the songs--it loads to different lengths every time I select it, but never all the way. The bar fills up like it's done loading, but it only goes to, well, anywhere between 11 and 18 minutes, usually.

This is the site: http://www.sonicviz.com/music/ktblues/

The song is "Ambient Trance Blues Jam" at the bottom of the player.

I've tried using different browsers and creating a different user profile on my computer. I've emptied my cache and reinstalled Adobe Flash. None of that stuff works. What's the problem? Even the purveyor of the site tells me the song plays fine for him. I'm out of ideas. It's weird.

That's a Jamroom 4 site, which means they likely have the streaming throttling ("boost") disabled or set very low - you can see that by how slowly the song "loads" ahead of where it is playing. The site owner should go into the Quota settings -> Media Support area and set the "Audio File Boost" to like 50% (or even 100%) - that should get the file to the player quicker. I suspect the PHP process is timing out before it can get to the end of that file, which is why you see it stop in random places.

Hope this helps!

I understood some of that. But hey, all I have to do is pass it on. Thanks!
