Have you run the 'Convert Media' tool on the imported videos?

Quote: 2. No page (page does not exist) for "Latest Discussions" link (View All) from Home page.
What skin is this? If Ninja, have you set the forum link in the skin settings?

Paul - 1. All the videos are present and viewable - just not the thumbnails.
2. Cannot see where to link the forum in skin settings. Is this it (last picture) "group_discuss"?

2. No, that would be your discussions in Groups.

It's asking for your FORUM discussions profile URL.
On my site that skin setting "Forum Profile URL" field is filled in as: http://fotmd.com/forums/forum
(note that I have a profile named "Forums" that 'owns' all my site discussion forums.)
If that field is left blank you won't see your Forum Discussions on the site.

The Media Conversion will sample a frame from the video file and create a thumbnail from it.

ACP=>Skins=>Site Index - Enter the full URL to your site forum there

Can't get the forums to link... keeps going to a "Not Found" page, no matter what URL I submit.
My site URL is - http://whitestone-fellowship.org.uk/social/ - but adding "forum" or "forums/forum" after this string make no difference, no matter how many times I reset the catches or do an integrity check.
How can I know for sure what the correct URL is, and where can I get the correct info for this from on my site?
The help (?) says it should be done using Site Builder, but doesn't say how.

Have you created a PROFILE that will 'own' your site-wide forums? I'm suspecting not.
You can create a new profile that's in a new quota cloned off an admin quota (so it'll have all the powers you need) ...name the new quota say Forum Quota for example. You can name the new PROFILE something like Discussions, or Forums (like I did), or just call it Bob if you want. "Bob" will be the only member of the special Forum Quota (unless you late want to add other profiles that can create/manage additional forums on your site, or yourself....but let's stick with Bob for now).

You are going to ALLOW profile forums for THAT quota, in your quota settings.
If you named it Bob, then the URL to your "Forum Profile URL" will be:
http://whitestone-fellowship.org.uk/social/bob/forum --that's the URL you'll paste in the field.

I'm seeing that ALL your members seem to have 'profile forum' allowed. I'm thinking this is not what you want- you don't want all members to have their own SEPARATE forums on their profile pages, but rather you want a site-wide forum (that you run/control) that everyone else has to post to, right? You can create categories within that forum btw.
If that's correct, then:
go to your jrForum module and under the Quota Config tab, UNCHECK that to NOT allow profile forums on ANY quota EXCEPT the new "forum quota" you created to house your site forums. That quota has only one member in it- your Forum Profile member you created (let's call him Bob). Bob has the checkbox marked to ALLOW a forum on his profile.

So you may have to do several things:
1) create a Quota that will be the only quota that can own forums on your site.
2) create a special profile that will 'own' all your site forums- put that profile into that quota.
3) in your jrForum module settings, switch OFF the box that allows profile forums for all Quotas except your special forums quota.
4) Go to your new Profile ("Bob" or whatever profile name you chose) and click to the Forum TAB on that profile. Copy the URL of that page (should end in: /forum ) and that's the URL for your site forums that you are going to paste into the field in your skin settings. It's also the URL where your members will be taken when they click on the link to site Forums. On my site, that url/page looks like this: http://fotmd.com/forums/forum (note I named my special forum profile "forums" rather than "bob")

If that's not the way you want your site forums to be set up, then there is another way that makes it more separate- the jr Team can help you with that (I can't), and it's the way this JR forum is set up here where we're posting, and it does not use a 'profile forum' structure.

Let me have the site admin login and I'll take a look. Post it to a ticket.
Thanks

Strumelia,
Thanks for the info, but it didn't work my my site. Hoping someone can take a look at it and work out what the problems are.

@islander - You opened a support ticket for these issues but did not include your admin login details. Please respond there - https://www.jamroom.net/ticket/49258/re-jamroom-new-reply-two-problems-after-ning-import
Thanks

By default that widget will show uploaded videos. You don't have any, only YouTubes so have altered the widget template to show those instead.

Quote: No page (page does not exist) for "Latest Discussions" link (View All) from Home page.
All your Groups are 'private' so their discussions are not exposed on the page that links to.

In your ticket you also say that you cannot see your group pages. They are imported but Ning neglect to associate them with their parent group in the archive, so this needs to be done 'by hand' after import. There is a tool to do this - ACP=>Profiles=>Group Pages=>Tools=>Page Group Config

Hope that helps
Paul

Thank you Paul,

No idea how groups became private. Must have been on import. Have now made these public, but still get a blank page link for "view all" discussions, which show URL as > > http://whitestone-fellowship.org.uk/social/group_discuss
I have tried updating this several times but it does not change the URL, even after several site refreshings.
Also, Admin profiles are not showing profile names or top tabs as the other user profiles do. The quotas for admins allow for all modules, but tabs and profile names are absent on these profiles. Please see attached images.

I've fixed this up on your site by SiteBuilding a page to show all group discussions. This should be handled as default by an index.tpl template in the GroupDiscuss module which is missing. This has been added to the next releade of the module.

Am checking out the admin profile issue.
Thanks
Paul

Much appreciated Paul. Trust you'll be able to sort everything out. It's been very frustrating trying to get it all to sync and work properly. It appears that profile pages for admins have not been created correctly, in fact one profile is missing completely, even though I can sign in with it.

I feel I should just mention something that caused me a little confusion when i first set up my site.
When I first set up on a Ningja skin clone, there was a default index page section/list for "Latest Discussions"...but at first I thought that must mean latest Forum discussions..when in fact it was a list of latest Group discussions. There was no section for latest Forum discussions. I felt this would be confusing for my members, so what I wound up doing was creating a home page section for Latest Forum Discussions, and another section simply showing a list of site groups, titled "Join a Group!"..instead of showing latest group posts. http://fotmd.com/
I also made it so that BOTH Forum discussion posts AND Group discussion posts would show in the main page Latest Activity feed. This made a big difference on my site in getting members involved in both forum and group discussions. I think i recall that it wasn't set that way by default on Ningja skin originally- only one(can't recall which one?) of them showed on the latest activity index page timeline...not sure if that ever got changed but I had a code fix for it on my custom skin I think, to make sure they both appear in the Timeline on Main page.
Of course everyone wants a different variation of home page setup, but thought I'd mention this because so many folks get confused by the 'group discussions vs. forum discussions' thing.

Thank you Strumelia, something to consider when the site is fully up and running. Still ironing out some clinches.

I notice that the admin profile menu items are now showing. Have you done anything to fix it? If not, I guess it must have been a caching thing.

Paul it's a mystery. The profile menu items appeared on a new admin profile created yesterday, but not the older profile. Then at some time today they were also present on the older admin profile.
