Hello all,

Has anyone found a way to receive email notifications when a member you are following posts a new blog or comment?

I have a few active members who are very disappointed in losing this option with the move to Jamroom.

They know that they can check the list of all new blogs when they visit the site, and that they can check their profile activity or check their friends' (contacts/those they follow) profile pages and click on blogs there.

But is there a way we can receive email notifications for Jamroom blogs?

Thanks,

Yes - if the user chooses to create a timeline entry when creating the blog, their followers will be notified.

Whenever you change systems there is usually NEW features your users get access to, while not all OLD features are supported or available immediately. Hopefully your users aren't too disappointed if they feel this isn't working exactly like your old site.

Let me know if that helps.

Have set this to investigating - I thought there was a notification option for timeline updates by users you follow, but I'm not seeing it (at least not at fist look) so will check it out. What we want to avoid is having to make each module "notification aware" - we'll want this to be part of the Activity Timeline module.

Thanks!

Your could create an RSS of new blog posts and your members could subscribe to that with their email clients.
