solved how to list events beginning with today

I want to set up our events page to list events in ascending order but I don't want it to include events that already took place. Any suggestions?

Here's what I have in the widget so far (see attached).

Try going to ACP - Profiles - Event Calendar

and uncheck Show Past Events
