Looking to migrate a Ning network

Greetings
We are actively seeking a better, more stable and more supported option for our 13000 member Ning 2.0 network at (Offsite URL Removed).
Could I ask a couple of questions that I haven't immediately been able to answer from looking around this site?
1. Is there a detailed list of what is and what is not migrated when a Ning network is imported into Jamroom?
2. Specifically to add to question 1, would the 'likes' within group posts be retained? We have a very important ranking system with a couple of our groups that rely on 'likes'.
3. Can you confirm that there is a 'like' system (either natively or by add-on) in Jamroom. If needs be, we have a note of the relevant 'likes', so it wouldn't be a deal breaker if we can't import likes, so long as we can start adding them on the migrated site
4. Can you clarify whether members have the ability to customise their own personal member profiles i.e something similar to the design studio in Ning 2.0?
Thanks in anticipation for your answers. We are very interested in Jamroom - it would be the hosted solution with us paying for yourselves to migrate the site.

Hi Paul - Thanks for the enquiry.

Quote: 1. Is there a detailed list of what is and what is not migrated when a Ning network is imported into Jamroom?
I've recently posted this on the 'ExCreators' forum - It answers this question (unfortunately have not found a place for it here on jamroom.net yet!!) -

I didn't realise Ning had a 'likes' system. None of the other many Ning migrants here have ever mentioned it. I've also never seen any evidence of it in any of the Ning archives I've imported so assume that if there is a Ning 'likes' system, they fail to include it in their archives. Maybe it is a third party add-on?
So, the answer to this is 'no', 'likes' within group posts are not retained

Yes, we have a Like module (that also includes optional 'dislikes') that can be attached to any Jamroom item, including Group posts.

Quote: 4. Can you clarify whether members have the ability to customise their own personal member profiles i.e something similar to the design studio in Ning 2.0?
We have a ProfileTweaks module that allows members to upload their own header logo, add a backgroud image and select their profile index page. They can also select between all Jamroom skin options so they do have a choice of several 'fixed' styles.

We have several hostings plans - https://www.jamroom.net/hosting - all of which come with your own dedicated VPS server, Jamroom pre-installed, daily backups and VIP support. We also have services to import your Ning2 site for you.

Hope that helps
Paul

Wow, thanks Paul for the speedy and comprehensive response
I'm cutting and pasting your replies to the Admin group on our network so we can discuss this further, but I have to say I'm very impressed by the level of support here
