solved Gmail problems

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem. We've been working on making sure we have everything set for our new JR site. Yesterday we had some problems making sure we had our Mailgun set up correctly (Thanks Brian!). Now it's working fine, but apparently Gmail has decided that we've been trying to send spam to some gmail accounts (I have several I've been using for testing emails) and we are blocked from sending email to them.

Here's what our email delivery log says:

421 4.7.0 [184.173.153.207 15] Our system has detected an unusual rate of 4.7.0 unsolicited mail originating from your IP address. To protect our 4.7.0 users from spam, mail sent from your IP address has been temporarily 4.7.0 rate limited.

So what do we do now? Wait? If so, how long??? Anyone else experience this? Any and all ideas welcome.

I found out what was happening... According to one and all, this is quite unusual but I thought I'd post the solution here in case anyone else finds themselves with the same dilemma.

Not only were we blocked from gmail, but mailgun kept trying to deliver those messages to those gmail addresses (which were our own in fact), so we were essentially spamming ourselves. I finally submitted a ticket to Mailgun and they were able to fix it. Here's what their support person said/did:

"I have adjusted your sending IP within Mailgun. What happens in these situations is as you are on a shared IP all of your email is shared with multiple other users. And if you are sending to Gmail along with a few other very noisy senders (who should be on dedicated IPs) then you can run into this issue. I have adjusted your sending IP to one that has considerably less senders on it and so you should see this throttling slow down."

So after that, everything started working again just fine... Questions? Just let me know.
