I'm not pointing fingers this time, but something was there and now it's not. the original writer of the post says he didn't delete it.

is there a place I can go back and look for it? the whole thread just vanished.

also - should posts like this go here or in a more general discussion forum?

Things shouldn’t just disappear. There really needs to be a cause for them. Locating that cause can be trickey, its kind of like a "Where did I leave my keys" problem in that the best way to solve the issue is to retrace the steps of what happened.

Right now we know, something somewhere which we thought was there is no longer there.

First step in retracing: Which module was it? Has anything changed on the profile it was on lately?

any other clues?

Need more info.
Was it a Group or Forum discussion?
Have you tried looking for it, as admin in case he has altered his privacy settings?
Maybe he deleted his Group, which would take all its discussions with it.
What was the title of the discussion so that the database can be checked.

Paul wins!

original author inadvertently changed his privacy settings. We got it back

back to the follow up question - this isn't about the ning to jamroom conversion, so would you like me to put future questions here or in a general forum.

thanks again
