OMG...Just got off the phone from CANCELING my Ning networks..it's DONE! I'm FREEE!!

My new Jamroom site (at fotmd.com) is terrific and hopping busy, my members couldn't care less about our old outdated ning site anymore...it was a total ghost town for the past couple weeks anyway. Cue: one lone tumbleweed blowing through...

Such a pleasure dealing with the wonderful Jamroom Team...they are REAL people offering REAL service and REAL support with a smile. A breath of fresh air.

BOOOOOOO for NingGlamMode!!!!
Good riddance to the BAD RUBBISH of the evil Glam corporate empire that totally turned its back on all its customers for the past two and a half years.

YAAAAAY for Jamroom!!!! They SAVED my 3900 member online community, which is THE largest online site on the entire internet dedicated to the American mountain dulcimer musical instrument, and those who play it.
Doing happy dance..... :D

Pleased for you Strum. Glad we all got there in the end.
Thanks for your help, suggestions and bug reports over the past few months, and for your kind words about JR both here and on the Ning forums - I'm sure most of the recent N2JR converts, and the enquiries we are getting are a lot down to you :-)

Looks like all your posts extolling the virtues of JR have gone as well - That's a shame.

Oh my god- did they delete ALL my posts, and my profile page as well?
Of course I cannot even access the forum or see it.

they sent me an email this morning with a link giving me a choice to delete all my posts...which I definitely did NOT check. They must have done it themselves!

No fair!!, they left all of Soaring anti-ning pro-jamroom posts up!!

Paul, I really want to know if ALL my posts from the past 2.5 years are gone- what about the post i recently left in the Alternatives to Ning thread- giving a helpful updated summary of what various platforms were now available?
EVERYTHING....??? GONE??? =8-\
Is my profile page even still there?

http://creators.ning.com/members/Strumelia is still there but all the threads just have a cryptic "This post has been deleted" instead of your posts, which makes a nonsense of the thread because specific replies to what you said are still there!!

Well I guess that's better than nothing. Makes their heavy handedness rather glaring and also kinda makes them look like fools.
Maybe they will surprise me if I keep at them, and put my posts back. Stranger things have happened.
There will be a few folks happy to see me be 'vaporized', I have no doubt.

Just done the same and removed my Ning site and creators profile. Don't think I will create any more Ning sites as I think they have totally given up on it's Ning customers now. Going to take a little break then will be onto my Jamroom building in the near future. :-)

It makes quite a statement that you and I BOTH are gone, John. Though I wanted my posts to remain behind.

Nice one, @strumelia - I'm still a way off moving my 2 over here, but that's a time and money thing, nothing else. The new site, that I had been going to build in Ning 3, is coming together almost perfectly in JR, now (thanks to Paul, Brian, Douglas, Michael & Co) and I couldn't be more relieved govern the lack of any progress on N3.

Congratulations!

Oh. My. God.

Miracles do happen.

Someone at Ning support has put all my posts back up again, as I requested.

Absolutely Amazing.

Now I can leave there happy. :) :) :)

It's a wonderful thing, especially good for people in the future who are currently very unhappy and can eventually wind up building terrific new sites in Jamroom.
But also good not to have lost all my posts from like two years ago or more as well. I'm just glad the Ning techs were able (and willing) to restore my contributions.
