I've followed the instructions for setting up the profile questions.

Whilst the form appears in the users account none of the fields are filled in ?

Cheers

Hi Dave
Sorry - This one got over-looked.
Is this still an issue? Have you checked a user account that you know has answered the questions (I've found when doing imports that often not all members fill in all the question fields).
Thanks

Hi Paul,

A number of the questions are compulsory so at least some of the fields should be filled in.

Cheers

Its OK on an import I've just done for a user. Imported answers are showing in the custom fields of the user account update form.

Any way I can take a look at your install?

No problem.

You should have the details already.

Long gone I'm afraid. I tend not to keep user passwords longer than needed.
Email me or support[at]jamroom[dot]net
Thanks

Dave -

I just did this a couple of nights ago and had no problems with it, remembering to update both user/account and user/signup.

Have you run an integrity check recently? Repairing and optimizing the databases? I had been resetting caches and doing the module and skin integrity checks. When I did the database repair and optimize it fixed a bunch of content display issues.

I have not imported yet. Can I still create "different" profile questions? Haven't been able to locate this within the forums nor going thru the Modules area. It seems to require the import to be accomplished and those old questions/answers imported.

I'd like to create some new ones (and keep some of the old ones) which I realize (new ones) will be "empty" when I import but I'd like to take the new site launch as an opportunity to redefine that area; especially when it comes to new signups.

Is this possible?

Hi Kos
Yes, it's possible. After import just run the tool to see the questions, that will generate them all in the user data store, then just create the custom fields for the ones you want from Ning and create any new ones you want for the JR site.

Saw that - just thought it was a perfect thread to ask a question on. Hmph, so I have to import first. Oh well, I know what I'll be reading up on next. Thanks Paul
