I got an email from a potential member this morning saying that they wanted to create an account and got the following error:

"Invalid Signup Account Type - please ensure you are choosing a valid Signup Account Type”.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Go into your ACP -> Users -> User Accounts -> Quota Config tab and for EACH of your profiles (select them one at a time in the quota drop down) make sure you have "Allow Signups" checked if you want the user to be able to signup to that quota.

Hope this helps!

Brian - I thought if Signups were not allowed for a quota then the quota was not visible on the signup form (and in account settings).

That is correct. Did they select a valid quota at signup time? The error you have posted indicates they did not.

Everything is configured properly. Problem is different - no select box for account type.

Have you customized your signup? Visit /user/signup as a master admin - go to Form Designer and make sure you've not hidden the Quota ID selector - it needs to be visible to ALL users.

Let me know if you don't see the option there.

Let me know if that helps.

Looking at your login form, it is also missing the "Human Validation" check, so something is not working right.
