If you take a close look, you'll see that the forum posts are all posted by ChocLifeRoot whereas the timeline is @claygordon.

I changed the name from ChocLifeRoot to Clay Gordon but the URLs have not updated so I get a 404 every time I click on @ChocLifeRoot.

I set the name ChocLifeRoot just to have something when I created the account. What will it take to get it updated?

Try clearing your caches, and running the integrity check. I just wrote to a forum here, then changed the profile name and refreshed the top page and the name changed.

If that doesn't fix it, post the code you are using for that section here and i'll try here with that.

Sounds like a bribe attempt. :)

--edit--
actually I think something is wrong. Don't need anything from you. I can see the issue.

Michael -

I did the cache clearing (in JR and in two separate browsers) and ran the integrity check and am still seeing the problem. It is on my home page in the Lastest Forum Posts section.

Waiting to hear back about the fix. Ready to send the letter to my members.

This is a bug in the forum module and I've got it fixed up for version 1.5.0 which will be out soon.

Thanks!

Woot Woot! When this gets done it's time to send the email to my members about making the switch and then changing the DNS!

Might need guidance on editing the config.php and rebasing the URLs, plus some guidance on timing the order of things.

I am noticing the same issue in the Events module for events I created before the name change. My guess is that the same logic you fixed in the Forum module may exist in others as well.

OK we will check it out - the Profile Events module is a fairly "old" JR module so that wouldn't surprise me.

Thanks!

I've just checked this out and I'm not seeing the URL hard coded in the datastore. Where are you seeing the "old" name in the events module?

Thanks!

Brian -

It was in the "Attending" / Attendees for an event. In the one instance I found, I unattended and then reattended myself and that solved the problem.

HOWEVER, I am still getting a URL with the old member name in the top nav - header_menu_desktop.tpl

I renamed Discussion to Forums and that link from the top nav only is wrong. Other links work. (All, for example.)

OK - thanks - I was not looking at the "attendee" function - I will check that out and see what's up.

Thanks!

I am guessing it's here but I have no idea what to change it to.

You need to update your skin config - that variable is a hard coded URL you entered into your skin config.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks!

I'm not sure I see the problem - can you clarify for me? Do you mean the gallery name? I believe on Ning import a single gallery is created using the profile name, so if you CHANGE your profile name AFTER the import, the gallery will still be named the old profile name.

Is that what you are seeing?

You are right. I realized at the same time. This is the Gallery name on import.

OK good - you can actually rename that by clicking on the modify button at the gallery level and changing the name.

Problem reappears.

Problems are always reappearing for me as well when I leave my brain in the gallery module.
lololol...

My husband's name is Brian and he regularly gets things addressed to "Brain". In fact, when he was a little boy he excitedly sent away for 100 pencils embossed with his name... and they all arrived saying "Brain". lolololol!
