It's odd, but when I click on items in my Main/index page's module for Latest Forum posts, EVERY OTHER item sends me to a Page Not Found. Alternate ones are working fine. ? (All the urls end with #last)

Another odd thing about it is that on my main page "Latest Forum Posts" module, it only seems to be showing forum threads that were created by either myself or my 4 moderators (all of whom have been on my JR site and logged in to test over the past week). The threads showing were created long ago, by the way, not recently. Is that due to some setting? I want everyone to see the latest forum threads/posts by ALL members.

The problem is that the posters' profile name (gail-webber, benjamin-w-barr-jr, etc.) is in the url when it should be the forum's profile name (in your case, forums).
I'll check that out.
Thanks

Is it perhaps because the module supposedly lists latest member 'posts' to forums....BUT the link is instead taking you to the forum 'thread' url (and not the post url)?
There is def something fishy going on with my forums (see my other thread here which I have not been able to update yet today)

Thanks

Paul -

Can you post the skin fix here? I am working on a clone of the ningja skin (I did the clone on Sunday, IIRC), and that would predate this skin update. When I did the clone on Sunday some stuff did not copy across - changes to the language files and desktop_header_menu.tpl among others.

Compare is still throwing out 404 errors for me.

The latest Ningja skin with this fix is in the marketplace.
The fix was in the index.tpl file. Change line 65 to -

<h3><a href="{$jamroom_url}/{$item.profile_url}/{$furl}/{$item._item_id}/{$item.forum_cat_url}/{$item.forum_title_url}#last">{$item.forum_title|truncate:30}</a></h3>

(the actual change was the {$item.profile_url} bit)

This is how it should be working:

"Using the Compare tool to keep cloned skins up to date"
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/development/2394/using-the-compare-tool-to-keep-cloned-skins-up-to-date

Could you elaborate on "throwing errors" please.

Michael:

Working from a cloned skin.
Go to ACP.
Select Skins
Select Templates
Select a modified template to compare - index.tpl
Click Compare - URL is now http://www.thechocolatelife.info/thechocolatelife/core/template_compare/skin=nsTCLSkin1/id=36
On left: nsTCLSkin1/index.tpl (custom)
On right: nsTCLSkin1/index.tpl (1.0.12)
From the popup, select jrNingja/index.tpl (1.0.11)
404
From the popup, select jrNingja/index.tpl (1.0.14)
404

mmm. not seeing the same issue but I dont have older ning versions though.

I did:
* clone jrNingja 1.0.14 to nsTCLSkin1
* go to skins -> nsTCLSkin1 -> templates -> index.tpl -> modify
* compare with jrNingja 1.0.14

The template appeared. Need to go get some lunch now, back to investigating after that.

On my system, TCLSkin1 is clone of Ninja 1.0.12, not 1.0.14.

TCLSkin1 is set as active skin.

Compare to 1.0.14 - 404 for me.

Go have lunch. This is not top of my list (this morning here in NYC - just passed midnight).
