delete and create import oddness

i decided to do a fresh import but when u do delete and create you only see
00:49:23 Importing selected Ning items
nothing more but if u watch the dashboard the number of profiles goes up and up
but if u refresh the import page it only gives the create members option as if the database is enmpty or no profiles were created

corection it did create 4202 this time without showing any were created but stopped going up there so i refreshed and all options were there so i just continued the create

but still had that same odd behavior everytime i tried delete and recreate

I can't make this happen on my dev system. Have tried delete/create on profiles, audios and images. Works every time.
But as I said, I have seen it happen in the past. Its as though the server loses contact with the modal window but carries on with the job in hand anyway. Brian - any way this can happen?
Also, an obvious question, but are you on the latest jrNingImport release?

yes i check updates 3-4 times a day cause u guys rock
but its only happened on profiles nothing else and happened everytime
imports arent taking too long now though
and i think if i could tune up my database more it would fly

Do you still have graphic symbols as part of your name in the archive?
You, as admin, are the first to be imported and if those graphics are causing an error when the script tries to report your import to the modal window . . .?
Just speculating what might be happening.

i do but it does import and many others have them and they import
its not a big deal just a lil odd behavior i thought id report
