i assumed if u alowed a quouta to be signed up into you could change to those quoutas at will however after you signup there seems to be no way to change quoutas
from the users modify profile or user account tabs

cant edit the modify form to add it either as its quota_id
and all fields must begin with user_

how do i let my existing users change quouta to 'shop owner) that lets themn be a power user and create a shop as a second profile

ok i read it but not sure i understand
i need to set up free quoutas in foxycart subscriptions?
i already have 'allow signup to quota' for new members new shops and featurted shops
i also have 'alow quota change' wich i was told meant they can change quotas to anyt quotas listed as "allow signup into quota'

if they are alowed to signupinto a quota
and
alowed to change to that quota
why isnt that added to the modify form by sdefault

i have 13,000 members migrating over many want shops
i told them they can simply select change account type to shop
but then realized the options not there

so what i need to really do is set up free subscriptions?
do they need to enter credit card omfo to get the free subscriptions

and why cant that "allow quota change" just copy the 'quota_id" form to the modiify

that seems to make more sense

but regardles how do i make this work
without having to use a credit card

That is correct. I'm not seeing any issues with the functionality on this end - the ability to change quotas is located on the Profile Settings forum - not User Settings (just to be sure you're looking in the right place).

You don't have to do it through the subscriptions screen - it works right on the profile settings screen as well.

Go into your Developer Tools -> Tools -> Database Admin, click on "Select" next to the jr_jrcore_form table and make sure you don't have an entry for the jrProfile "profile_quota_id" field.

Do you have Power User functionality enabled for the quota your profile is in?

That is not related (or shouldn't be). Make sure you do not have ACP -> User Accounts -> Quota Config -> Power User Enabled checked.

I've tested here and don't see any problems, so something is messed up on your system.

If you are testing with a Power user profile, then you need to make sure in the User Quota Config that you have selected that the quotas you want the user to be able to select from have been selected.

i should have it set..and i tested and am sure it works that users sign up as either regular users or 1 of 2 "power user shops' if regular user they can then change to power user shop owners after joining but only on that 1 mapped domain was it not working but im doing a data wipe and re-import as a final stage b4 migration
so ill retest wen its all done
