My site crashed and since then I cannot see any execution buttons.
Members's can't sign in, I cannot run an integrity check, etc.

The skin I was using couldn't load. I cannot use other skins as there is no execution buttons.

If I log out I may not be able to log in again.

What to do?

Try deleting the files in your data/cache/YOURSKIN folder and the data/cache/jrCore folder via FTP.

Thanks Douglas.. that worked.... but only had to delete the "data/cache/YOURSKIN" files.

I see this from time to time - it usually doesn't happen very often. What I believe might be a culprit is when a Jamroom page is loading and creating a new cached template file, the Apache process exits unexpectedly (i.e. someone has done a hard restart on Apache, or the process takes a dump) - that leaves the cache file in a corrupted state.

Clearing the cache directories almost always fixes it (and note there are some skin related cache files in the data/cache/jrCore directory as well, so if emptying the skin directory doesn't work try that one too).

Hope this helps!

I was a little reluctant to delete the data/cache/jrCore files as there were other directories in there. So I thought I try to remove the other cache files first. Which obviously worked. :)

Its pretty safe to delete any of the cache folders in my experience. They'll just get re-created again as needed.

Yep - everything in the cache directories will be recreated as needed.

Just so I know- in such instances, does one delete the entire cache folder along with all its contents, OR only all its contents while leaving the empty cache folder in place?

I tend to leave the cache folder in place.
Haven't tried it but I guess that if it was deleted it would be created again when needed.
