Is that a Ning site or a SocialEnginePHP site?

I think its a ning site. Its what I've been using to test out the portablity to the site builder system from.

http://susanboylereal.ning.com/

redirects there.

I was working from the premise that a ning theme is:
* some colors
* a background image
* a background header image.

and was wondering if those background header images are somthing thing the ning admin user uploads or if there is a place they choose them from.

I don't know about her site- does look like a Ning 2.0 function-wise, plus no "ModeMedia" branding at bottom.
I don't have a 3.0. Even in my 2.0 I stayed with the older design studio, so I can't know what template she may have started with or tweaked.
But here is mine- you cna see that I started with the "Urban Tech" template and then got rid of the design they had in it and made it my own look. Hope seeing my appearance controls helps you- I can show you the appearance code as well if you like.

Her background image seems to be:

"Vintage floral" theme? Must be from their later design studio upgrade, which I don't have. Then a pink burlap transparent overlay? Somebody did a nice job of it.

Thanks for that. Its good to see what their customization system looks like.

I'll locate something to use as default then let users over-ride it as they like.

Cheers.

Thanks @bree, I wanted something reasonably decent to package along with the slate skin as a default place holder that the users can upload their own ones over top of.

repeating background images are available here:
http://bgrepeat.com/

but I couldn't locate a similar site for header images.

Would it be too much trouble to ask you ( or anyone with some design sense, mine is very limited ) to make a header background and pick out one of those bgrepeat images that work well together?

currently I have the skin updated so when you check some checkboxes in the skin config that your header and your background get turned on. I want to replace those with some default ones to get it out to everyone.

cheers.

@michael, I have created a couple of header images that I think might work well for what you have in mind. I have posted them in images on my jamroom site (susanboylekeepingitreal.com/jamroom5) for you to take a look at, I have also posted the background image I think they would work with.
