I have no idea - that would be something that was added by Ning or by the user creating the video - that is not from Jamroom.

It's not used or needed by Audio - audio conversion should be VERY fast (unless your audio file is massive). On our conversion server here we do audio files in less than 10 seconds for the most part (again unless it is huge).

Thanks!

Make sure you remove ALL cloud modules - those are going to mess it up if you have them installed.

Thanks!

Since they are not meant to be available yet, if you could please remove them that would be great. They will not function (since they have been updated and you don't have the updates), so it's best to remove them.

Thanks!

done and done but would gladly be a guinipig for testing the updated versions as they come out since my sites larger but not yet live

does that act as a cdn also serving static content like images from a cloud or is it strictly for file conversions

When it is ready for testing we can for sure let you know. The Cloud modules are actually a set of modules that allow you to "span" your Jamroom components across multiple servers so you can scale very large. The conversion server is a portion of that (which was the modules you had).

You'll see more about it as we get into the new year - it's really cool.

Hope this helps!

ok but then would need to maintain multiple servers ofour own?
my sites pretty large but think it would have to be alot bigger to cover the costs of multipler servers though hooingto get there within a year

Its an option for those that need to expand.

There will be other options too like out-sourcing some of your conversion power to servers setup to do it so your servers can continue to deliver the site.

Yep - it's designed for those sites that need it, and it would definitely be more expensive to run multiple servers, so I'd recommend not using it unless you need it :)

I'm trying to make a decision about adding another CPU to the server. I've noticed a normal video file 30-70 MB in size takes about 10 minutes to convert. I'm set to highest priority with one worker.

When it says one worker uses 1 core does that mean the half of a duel core processor? What's a good "rule of thumb" so I have something to base a decision on.

Like is there a notification or warning to look for, if your queue is backing up due to lack of CPU power?

you can see what is waiting in the Queue from:
ACP -> SYSTEM CORE -> TOOLS -> QUEUE VIEWER

If your finding that backing up faster than it can clear itself then more power is needed. Or if conversion times are taking longer than you'd like them too during busy periods.
