router.php and mysql caqusing excessive (extremely) cpu usage

i dont know what could have changed to cause this
i did try installing a site search without luck
but since deleted it
router shows many instances with high cpu usage but the processes dont last long
mysql on the other hands gobbling up cpu resources like crazy

You have a DELAYED insert going on by "eximstats" that is blocking your queue. You need to disable eximstats or configure it to work right.

Something is likely misconfigured on your server. What does SHOW PROCESSLIST; show now in MySQL?

Also - you might want to check with your hosting provider for system administration help. I know that we're pretty responsive here so it's probably your first choice for asking for server assistance, but I want to be sure you know that it's hard to figure out remotely what your issues might be - your sysadmin likely can help you out more thoroughly.

It should never be taking 63 seconds to copy to a TMP table. Something is messed up, as your queries are basically "backing up".

i was told that it should avoid writing temp tables but that scripsd way outta date desperateky needs upgrading but is a nightmare to upgrade

Yeah you're going to want to disable that for now, as it is going to block up your site while any queries on that DB are running.
