New Jamroom Hosting Forum

I've just finished creating a new "Jamroom Hosting" forum here - with our new Jamroom Hosting getting busy I figured this would be a better idea than posting everything to a single post ;)

If you have any questions about Jamroom Hosting (including hosting elsewhere) make sure and post here. I also tried to move a few hosting related posts here so the new forum was "move in ready".

Thanks!

Ok so my site is running on mysite.jamroom.com then I changed my domain settings to point at linode ( I just added 1 and 2) I waited for it to propagate...now mysite.com is live on my server here but all my navigation links are still mysite.jamroom.com so I went into the Ning Import tool and used the Upadate Base URL tool and set it to change the urls to http://mysite.com ( I have ran it 3 times actually) but im still seeing the mysite.jamroom.com url everywhere except the home page.

I am trying to get everything 100% on the JR server
Is there a problem with the url tool?
Do I need to add all 4 linode name servers?
Do the other urls just take time to propagate?

I have ran the integrity check- the system check and cleared my browser cache

Just curious

Ok- well I found my own answer. There is a tab is the server configuration to make the URL active
It's a little different than the other server changes where we had to run the URL tool
But this is much better

Hi Brian,

I initiated the "slurp" but it's not showing any progress. I just refreshed after over 5 minutes and it's still showing 0 files and directories imported.

I'n guessing I "messed up" on following the directions somehow. You have the same access as I do right now, so would you mind having a look?

I use my cpanel credentials when FTP'ing, so perhaps that's the issue. I saw something you wrote to Strumellia about using the IP?

It's still showing no progress after over 2,400 seconds (see attached).

I put my credentials into Filezilla and connected no problem, so I'm not sure what's wrong?

I need to leave for the evening soon, so I was hoping to get this transfer started first.

Well it's beem a long time now - 0 files and directories imported in 4,429 seconds.

No one has responded, so I am going to attempt to kill the process and re-initiate.

I attempted to kill the process and re-initiate but nothing worked. I rebooted and it went right back to:

0 files and directories imported in 5,103 seconds.

Yeah there's a problem there. Did you install the Hosting Transfer module first? I will cancel the transfer and reset it.

Thanks!

Ken - you also don't want to install to the development domain.

Make sure you and read the "Creating a new domain on your server" documentation:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/jamroom-hosting/2541/creating-a-new-domain-on-your-server

And finally, let's start a new forum topic with any new issues.

Thanks!

Hi Brian,

Yes it's installed and I plugged in the number. I also see a Jamroom 5 fresh install when I check my Jamroom server account, so I know it's not overwriting that with my "slurp".

yeah looks like the script might have bombed on your FTP password - it contains some funky that I think are not getting escape properly in the shell.

I will check it out and get it going for you.

Ken - I've got your import started now - go into the Domain Settings for your domain (indiegospel.net) and you can track the progress.

Hope this helps!

Bit confused on that, I thought this was the new support forum for hosting? So where exactly is it that I post any new hosting issues?
