Sharethis and Aparna

I have added this code to a module I created with the Arparna Module

And nothing shows
Is there something else I need to do?

Ok Sorry, I worked out there needs to be code pulling it in

See my post on your other Aparna thread.
Added {jrCore_item_detail_features module="paTesting" item=$item} to the detail template and that created sharing buttons and they work fine for me.

Thanks @paul. As usual great support

Works great but it shares ( on facebook , nothing else tested so far ) as the profile with their bio instead of sharing the content that the MODULE item_detail is supplying.
Anyway to fix this so that it pulls the actual modules info?
Like the first 2 lines with an image etc ( truncate )

You know, up to now I've never played with the ShareIt module.
I'll try and rectify that soon, but until then, hopefully someone else can jump in here?

I believe the Share It module shares the entire page and not a single item on a page. That is why it was setup only on the detail pages.

Seems strange to share the whole page with info you really don't want to share.
You only really want to share a section of a page.
Just from the section that the share this is in eg a module section where you have actually added the share code.
Any chance of a workaround to share only the content in which the share this code has been placed?

That's how ShareThis works - it's all URL based, not based on content on the page unfortunately.

As most pages are made up from different templates and would be good to be able to add the share this to a section rather than the page.

unfortunately you can't - that's a limitation of both ShareThis and Facebook's Open Graph. Since OG tags must be in the head section, you can only reference ONE item on the page - in other words you cannot "share" a section of a page - it has to be the whole page.
