After the most recent core update the 'users online' cell only shows 1 regardless of how many users are online.

I'm not seeing any issues here - there is an issue where the Visitor count is including Bots when it shouldn't - that is fixed in the next User accounts module release.

Are you using Redis by chance?

No not at all (should i be ) ? I am getting a steady 1 on the dashboard even when i have tons of visits on the users online tab.
