Hello Brian,
I just have question as I noticed you can add other sites too the marketplace update system.

as I been developing with jamroom for my new marketplace for game called second life as my previous version of this script were based on php nuke.

is there anyway we can use your update system in the marketplace for our own modules as I not sure if they would fit here or not as they are de,signed for an game where residents can have there inventory delivery in game, as well as vendors and terminals system.

Yeah thats the point I think.

The marketplace system is a module just like all other modules. The back end module for the marketplace has not been released as a for sale module yet.

I think the plan is to release it along with a skin for developers to use as a base to allow them to create sites and use the marketplace system as a means to allow their clients to stay up-to-date easily.

Yep - this is the plan, and yes - the idea is to allow developers to run their own marketplace if they want, and JR sites can subscribe to as many different marketplaces as they want.

However, there's still some loose ends on the backend that will need to be tied up, as well as some general "cleanup" before the Marketplace backend will be available. What is your time frame for needing it?

thanks for the heads up Brian as I sure game related stuff would not be suited here as its more of music site, where he scripts I have developed basically its an marketplace for second life inventory which are like 3d content created by residence and from the game I send a message to jamroom to insert the content ibto the database as they are not physical files and files which should be sent to people in game rather then zip files or physical files that are downloaded.
but I can also put them here too if you like but not sure how much use they would be here as reason I wanted to manage my own updates as I sure there are bugs and issues that the reason I was asking about the updater.
