investigating Notification Settings

Hello,

I have a problem about the new page of notification settings. There is a problem about the translations of the module names in the new one but since there was no module names in the old one, there was nothing to translate about module names.

From my point of view old one was easy and better. Would it be possible to add an option for choosing between old one and new one? If this is not possible, module names must be able to be translated.

We might need to go back to using the description in the selector - we'll try some things out.

We're running into the situation where there are just too many options to choose from and have them listed on one page - the feedback we've had was that it was confusing.

The idea here is to break it down by module/category - i.e. you want to change how you are notified in the forum. This way you can just select "forum" and see the forum options and not have to read the 30+ other options on the page to find it.

We'll come up with a solution that is translatable for sure, and if you have feedback on what you feel would work better for 30+ different notification options, let us know.

Here some ideas

Like i mentioned before, maybe you can add an option for choosing between old one and new one
or
sections can be manage with a field like the module category on the module's settings for ACP

I don't think we will maintain 2 separate ways of doing the same thing - we'll come up with something.

I have to add my two cents- I've had member complaints about the new style as well. Even a couple of my moderators didn't realize that there was a dropdown menu for the categories. Maybe just adding a way of making it more obvious somehow?
