One all networks Profile vs account

It seems that when you associate the oneall social networks it links to the account instead of the profile. Although this works for login, it does not work for sharing.

If you are a power user (label), and you switch to one of your artist profiles, you want to share to the artist's (profile) social network, not the label's social networks (account).

Am I missing something? Is it possible to link the social account to a profile instead of an account? I dont see any way to select a different profile on the social network connection page.

OneAll's primary function is for social login / signup, since it does all it's work via the user's browser (javascript), as that is how it validates a user's requests and does authentication.

You might be able to do something custom to set it up how you want it to work, but it's going to require some way for a user to "switch identities" in their browser, which is not something we've created.

Hope this helps!

I don't believe that to be correct simply because you can use oneall to post your feed to your social networks even if you did not use oneall to create your account or log in.

We currently have the ability to switch profiles in jr when logged in as a power user. What I am suggesting is that the page where you connect to your social networks should be profile sensitive vs account sensitive (just like your profile settings are).

That's correct, but you cannot post anything until you go into your "networks" section and link your account up with OneAll, which in effect sets things up exactly as if you had used your account to log in. So your account must be linked through OneAll for anything to work.

Hope this helps!

Thats what I'm saying. Couldn't you link you social account in the networks setting to the profile instead of the account?

No - I don't think I am doing a very good job of explaining OneAll, so let me see if I can clarify:

All OneAll functionality happens inside your user's BROWSER (basically a special OneAll cookie). Not in Jamroom. So even if a user switches to different profiles, they are still logged in as the same USER, which has been linked to a specific OneAll account. So to "change" accounts, the user would need to log in as a different user, with a different browser (or clear their cookies).

Let me know if that helps. I'd also recommend checking out the OneAll site:

http://www.oneall.com/

they have documentation there that might help you do what you want to do.

Hope this helps!

The documentation does not make any indication that it would have to be the JR user. You should be able to link the (social) profiles to a jamroom profile as well.

I hope you see the problem with the current implementation: A power user (label) that has multiple profiles (artists) would be forced to post content from all their users feed to a single profile. So you would never be able to post to the social profiles of the artists.

I know you believe this can work at the profile level, but having set this up and being familiar with how it works, it is linked at the user account level for a reason.

Sorry if that won't work for you.
