solved Genres in Maestro3

Hi, How does I get this to work like as following:

When a new member signs up I want them to choose between fixed values as for example. Songwriter, Guitar player etc

I also want to have fixed genres to choose when a member uploads a music or video track.

I have seen in the forum something called ujcategories but I can´t find it.

Please help me, I´m new at this still learning

If this is a skin specific thing to maestro3, it would be best to ask in the skin creators forums here:

If its a general question about Jamroom, here is fine. If you are wanting t have multiple different signup quotas for Songwriter, and Guitar Player the quota system might be what your after.

I have used Clipbucket videosharing it´s ugly and have many problems but the genre "module" works as I want it to work.

You can make more quotas which will be selectable on registration.
Each profile signed up would need to select one then.
User accounts though can be assigned to multiple quotas.

As for fixed genres, not sure about that one.
You would need to do some edits I would say

You could look hereujCategories Intro: Genres
Or maybe @steve might jump in with some ideas :D

If you want fixed genres for the uploaded audio, you can modify the genre field via the form designer and turn it into a select field instead of select and text... You would then enter your genres in the text area below the field you just modified and they would look something like this:

Rock|Rock
Classic Rock|Classic Rock
etc...

This is something that ujSignUp handles, but it isn't quite ready yet.

If you want access to ujCategories make sure you have installed any free Ultrajam module via the marketplace, let me know and I'll get you access to the channel.

If you get Categories working (where users choose their genre after signup rather than in the signup form) ujSignup (when ready) will easily allow you to force users to select in the signup form.

Thanks for your advice I will try and see which solves my problem.

And Steve would like to have access to ujCategories.
