new update fixed a long time problem...

no viideos on my server had been converting for well since i built this server last year
the new core update fixed it and videos are converting...hoooray!
but at the same time my front page stopped working and is gobbling up 100% of all cores with gallery item keys being written to a tmp table

i want to say i am sooo happy the videos somehow are now converting (although very slow cause of cpu loads insanly high

i don't know what you did diferent to ffmpeg... but it solved that issue i been nagging you about all year!

(ps don't worry about tech suppoit on the other issue till tomorow ..it just might be a hard drive issue)
(must be fixed though in next 2 days cause going away again to fly in my 1st glider competition..which will be tricky cause harvey is affecting the contest weather all the way in wurtsboro ny!).


just out of curiouslity..what did you d9o to the ffmpeg processing besides addiing flash conversion

Main thing that's happened to the videos is that MP4 is now the default with flash secondary because something (cant remember what exactly) didn't support flash.

Previously flv was the default extension
now its m4v

If you have any custom video templates with that code in it, they may need updating.

no the ffmpeg would never convert them before ..well only small lil vids like 10 meg ..not even sure those worked
but seems to be converting now at least the queues slowly going down
had the same 3 video conversions in queue for last couple months (was going to pay someone to fix it)
