had the site on a dev domain fwi.dreadlockssite.com
added new domain changed dns (might use same ip as dreadlockssite which uses ssl could that be why?)
edited data/config/config.php
cleared cches etc
site worked but inconsistently wont load css, or tries redirecting to https pages

could be a browser issue, try clearing browser cache or test with a different browser. I know firefox gets stuck.

one that and i'm not the only one who had these issues either..but its sporadic

I am having similar problems after a new domain was mapped today. I put in a support ticket.

Unfortunately, after I last attempted to fix it by refreshing SSL and restarting apache - I now have no connect to network at all - server is down.
